Émile Lemieux

Psychoeducator and psychotherapy trainee

Émile Lemieux is currently a psychoeducator and psychotherapy trainee at CERC as part of the process of obtaining a psychotherapist's permit from the Ordre des psychologues du Québec. Holder of a bachelor's degree (2019) and a master's degree (2021) in psychoeducation from the Université de Sherbrooke, his professional experience as a psychoeducator in front-line services in the public sector has enabled him to develop an expertise in accompanying adolescents and adults facing various mental health and adjustment issues.

As part of his internship at CERC, under the supervision of Ms. Geneviève Boisvert-Pilon, sexologist and psychotherapist, Émile offers psychotherapy services using an integrative approach, mainly centered on2ndand3rd wave cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). He offers therapeutic support to adult clients with a variety of difficulties, including anxiety, depressive symptoms, relationship issues, assertiveness and self-esteem, as well as post-traumatic stress and bereavement.

Recognized for his empathetic listening skills and ability to create a safe environment, Émile is fully committed to providing a respectful and caring therapeutic space, aimed at accompanying his clients on their journey to lasting wellness.

With an academic background in music, Émile is passionate about the arts and their role in personal health and well-being.
